Sizing and Use The Small size is recommended for dogs up to 45 lbs, while the Large is best for dogs 35 lbs and up. For dogs in that middle 35–45 lb range, consider their play style: choose the Small for those with smaller mouths or a more delicate touch, and the Large for more enthusiastic, "mouthy" players.
