The competition was tough.  Every contestant was loaded with personality, talent, pizzazz, and courage (well sometimes, as long as a vacuum wasn’t involved). But in the end, by popular vote, just two very special winners rose to the podium to claim their 2026 Dog of the Year and Cat of the Year crowns.  Here’s what our champions of charm will win:

• A $150 Shopping Spree. A serious restock of the good stuff, from our best toys and treats to daily essentials to keep them healthy and happy. Consider their tab officially covered.
• A Year in the Spotlight. Their photograph proudly displayed in our Portland store gallery for an ENTIRE YEAR. (That’s 365 days of customers stopping to admire those whiskers or that smile.)
• The Official Title . Not only do they get the title of Pet of the Year, but their human also gets the permanent right to casually mention that their best friend is basically an icon now.
